European Geophysical Union, 2015

Francesca Pianosi, Postdoctoral Research Associate in the CREDIBLE Project, has been awarded the EGU 2015 Arne Richter Award for Outstanding Young Scientists in the Hydrology Division. The award is given to the best researchers below the age of 36 and within seven years of their PhD. The Arne Richter Award is given to only four researchers every year across all areas of the geosciences.

Francesca will receive her award at the next EGU meeting in Vienna in April 2015.

International Environmental Modelling and Software Society, 2014

Francesca Pianosi, Postdoctoral Research Associate in the CREDIBLE Project, has been awarded an Early Career Research Excellence Award by the International Environmental Modelling and Software Society (IEMSS). The award is given for early career research excellence in environmental modelling and software.

Thorsten Wagener, Professor of Water and Environmental Engineering, has been awarded a Biennial Medal by the International Environmental Modelling and Software Society (IEMSS). The medal is given for exceptional research contributions to environmental modelling and software, and for promoting the aims of the Society. Biennial Medalists also automatically become Fellows of IEMSS.
